About Us
Our Story
Seeds of Community
Mongolians across the Greater Toronto Area begin organizing discussions about forming a unified community association.
Incorporated in Ontario
The association is incorporated under the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010, with a registered office at 18 Morland Rd, York. Ontario Corporation Number 1000514710. Business Number 75552 5219.
First Board of Directors
Eight directors take office for the 2023-2024 term: Ulzdelger Yanjmaa as Chair, Tuvshinjargal Ulziikhishig as Treasurer, Khulan Zalaa-Uul as Secretary, alongside Ankhbayar Batbayar, Binderiya Daribazar, Batbileg Ganbold, Enkhtsetseg Sanjmyatav and Tsogzolmaa Dorj-Adiya.
First Naadam
Around 300 people camp at Bruce Mills Conservation Park for the association's first Naadam, with shagai archery and wrestling.
A first full year
Membership reaches 236. Children's Day brings 36 families and more than 70 children to G. Ross Lord Park for games, a magic show and a chess tournament. A billiards tournament draws 25 players. The Mongolian school reopens for the 2023-2024 year with Saturday classes, and a consular services day held with the Embassy lets members renew passports and identity documents in Toronto.
An annual calendar
The year settles into a rhythm: the Toronto basketball tournament in Etobicoke each May, Children's Day at Earl Bales Park, Naadam at Bruce Mills Conservation Park in July, and the New Year celebration. Photographs from each are in the gallery.

To every chair who has served since 2004, and to the teams who stood beside them, thank you.
